Composing a work using Stravinsky's "L'Histoire du Soldat" instrumentation and want to set up the percussion the same way as in his score. I know NOTHING about do so.

Q 1: Does anyone have a non-pitched percussion map (or other library file?) I can use to create the percussion layout as I need it? Does Finale itself have them somewhere?

Q 2: Is there an EASY way to set this up? Has Finale provided an easier way to create a non-pitched percussion part?

Q 3: More of a proposal: A way to create a percussion part using more intuitive dialog boxes (as in new project set ups). Example:
1. Select instruments from a list.
2. Put the instruments in order, high to low.
3. Assign lines or spaces for each instrument (e.g., Field Drum = line 2; Tambourine = line 1)
This way there would be no need to know MIDI note numbers (!).
