When you add a slur to a score and leave it at its default placement and shape, Finale exports data like this:

<slur number="1" placement="above" type="start"/>

<slur number="1" type="stop"/>

So far, so good.

If you shape the slur, you get additional x/y coordinates and bezier curve data such as:

<slur bezier-x="67" bezier-y="41" default-x="13" default-y="15" number="1" placement="above" type="start"/>

<slur bezier-x="-64" bezier-y="45" default-x="7" default-y="5" number="1" type="stop"/>

Again, so far, so good.

If you add a staccato or similar articulation to the final note of the slurred group, the slur will adjust its endpoint if it is on the same side of the note as the staccato. Great!

Unfortunately, when you export the MusicXML file, the default-y value for the slur-end is unchanged and does not properly place the endpoint of the slur in the same vertical position as what is displayed in Finale. In order to get the correct default-y coordinate in the MusicXML file, you have to change the endpoint of the slur in Finale such that the Finale display is incorrect.

This is a MusicXML export error that crept in at some point with Finale 25 and is present in Finale 26.

Thanks. I did not know the official way to report a bug.
