Mac OS 10.5.8, Finale 2008.

I know I have an old version, but I'm hoping I can edit the Bend Hat Tool line (in Smart Shapes) to change from a straight line to a Glissando line. OR create a new Smart Shape that works like the Bend Hat Tool, but has a Glissando line. I want to indicate in a Jazz score a falloff from the first note that then turns into a Glissando up to the next note.

Would something like this work? I created it as a text expression from the jazz font. (No playback, of course!)

No, this is more of what I'm looking for, which I also created from the Jazz font, HOWEVER, I need it to be a SmartShape so that it moves with the notes when Note Spacing etc. is applied. That is what the Bend Hat Tool does, but with a regular straight line. This is being written for the whole band and each part will probably have different spacing issues.
