Have not installed 26 yet. Colleague says that 26 messed up the entire audio on his computer and had to uninstall it. I realize this is vague, but has anyone experienced audio anomalies upon 26 installation? Thanks

I have not had any such problems with v26 except that it initially kept choosing ASIO instead of DirectSound and I had to change it back every time.

 

I contacted MM Support and they got right back to me with a solution that immediately solved the problem.

You are installing over Windows. Being not as controlled an environment as the Mac OS, such anomalies do happen with audio drivers. I don't think it's all that often because people who don't have problems rarely post on support boards.

 

As J Adrian posted, "I contacted MM Support and they got right back to me with a solution that immediately solved the problem."

 

Tech Support is there if you need it through the Submit a request link at the top of the page. Install away and make some music!

I'm using Finale 26.0.1.706 (current version for MacOS as I write this) with OS 10.14.3 and just discovered NO SOUND ON PLAYBACK!

Any suggestions welcome…

Not much—make sure the Mute button isn't pressed, save, quit, restart iMac…

BTW, unlike some other posts stating that nothing happens when they press Play, the cursor does scroll across the score—just no sound… It was always quiet with internal speakers, even at loudest, but this is ridiculous!
