I am presently using Finale 26 on Mac OS Mojave. When I open a document created with Finale 25, I find that many of the new notational elements in 26 are not available - for example - the sfzp in the dynamics menu. Is there a way to activate the new features in 26, when working on a document created with an older version.

Expressions are document specific, not program specific.

 

Fix:

You can open a document with the expressions you need, and save a library with the expressions from the document.

Then load that library into the other document.

 

By The Way:

Finale comes with some ready made libraries.

 

Look in the File menu for

Load Library…

and

Save Library…
