Hi all!

Running Finale 25 on Mac OS High Sierra.

I'm finishing an orchestra piece that includes 12 staves of antiphonal brass in the last two systems only, and I'd like the group name to appear vertically down the left margin next to the appropriate staves.  Is there a way to do this?

Do you need the Group Name vertically down - or vertically up ?

 

If you need the Group Name vertically down, then enter the Group Name letters like this:

R

A

S

S

 

If you need the Group name vertically up (as rotated text), hide the Group Name in the last two systems, and use the Smart Shape Tool to enter a Custom Line with the desired text.

Give the line zero thickness so that only the text displays.
