 I have v26 on Win10 and had Finale lock up on me.

Despite often saving the file with CNTL+S the file is now corrupt and will not load.

Any ideas how to recover data as I spent a lot of time on the lyrics especially.

Do you have a backup copy?

 

1) You can set up Finale to, automatically saving backups of Finale documents.

 

2) You can set up the computer to, automatically saving backups of all files.

Thanks but Finale auto backups are enabled. I can only find saved files.

Are the backup files stored somewhere else?

I am using Dropbox and the penny just dropped that Dropbox stores history files and bingo the one version before the crash restored just fine.

All systems go!

Look in your Edit > Preferences panel to see where your Finale setup saves backup files.

Preferences - Folders

to see the path to the folder with Backup Files.
