When I input chords into a document I often don't see them above the staff until I either zoom in or zoom out the page. Is there a setting that I can change that will fix this so that I don't constantly have to change the page view of my document? Thanks

Thanks for the response. I followed your advice but there is no change. When I click on a measure or notes to input a chord symbol, four blue arrows show up in the margins but I don't actually see the chord above the staff until I zoom in or out. I guess it's something I just have to get used to.

Must be a way to fix? Good luck.

Can you post a screenshot of the problem?

In measure 5 when I click on the chord tool to indicate a G minor 9 chord, i get the four arrows in the margin but the Chord Symbol doesn't actually appear on the page until I use the Zoom Tool (+ or -). I have to do this for every chord I input, whether I let Finale analyze the chord or if I input it manually.

The chord now appears after I have zoomed in or out and I can move the symbol above the staff.

1) Did you zoom in, or did you zoom out?

To me it looks like your two screen shots are taken at the same zoom percentage.

2) My guess is that we need a little more info from you:

* What (Finale) version are you using? - v26? - v25? - 2014.5? - 2014? - 2012? - or?

* Mac or Windows? Your screen shot looks like Mac.

* What hardware are you using? I specifically mean the computer screen.

Is your chord problem a size problem or a redraw problem?

Have you tried View > Redraw Screen to see if that makes the symbol appear?

Of course the symbol should appear as soon as you draw it (which it does for me on my Windows machine), but if we can identify it as a redraw problem rather than a size problem, then we will be that much closer to a solution or an item we can report to the Finale developers.

Using the Redraw Screen command does make a difference. The chord does not appear immediately but does pop up after using Command+D. I am using version 26.0.1.706 on a 2013 Mac Pro running Mac OSX 10.12.6 (Sierra) with an LG Ultra HD monitor.
