I'm using Finale 26, Mac OS 10.12.6.

It appears that the Number Repeated Measures plugin is disabled when viewing an attached part, and can only be used when viewing the full score. The automatically creates the numbers as miscellaneous expressions, and they are displayed in both the score and the attached part. I would like to be able to show the numbers only in the part but hide them in the score. So far the only way I've found is to select each number individually in the Expressions Tool, control-click, open up the Edit Expression Assignment dialog box and choose "In Part Only". It's tedious. When I try to group-select the numbers, only the last one selected changes.

Is there a way to change the assignments en masse rather than individually? Or a more efficient method than the plugin?

And for the Development Team (I'll repeat this in features requests): Please make the Number Repeated Measures plugin available for attached parts, that's where it's really useful and not in the score itself.

In the full score,

  1. Select all the repeated measure numbers.
  2. Right-click (or do the Mac equivalent) to show the context menu.
  3. Select Unlink in all parts.
  4. Delete the repeated measure numbers in the full score.

They should persist in the part.

You might want to take a serious look at the plug-in JW Pattern, which is excellent at different numbering situations of the measures. You can create profiles that apply to the parts only, and use a specific expression category (create one with your font choice and positioning).

The plug-in is not limited to repeated measures, and you can start several sequences from 1, number every x measures as 1, 2, etc...

Adrian and Michel, thank you for your suggestions. I will definitely look at the JW Plugin for this.

I did try Adrian's suggestion. Deleting the unlinked expressions also deleted them in the part. I was however able to hide them en masse in the score while they continue to display in the part.
