Unfortunately I am unable to duplicate this problem.

I can copy chord symbols from a 1st ending without any problems.

Have you checked that the culprit is not the Copy Filter?

You probably have, but the Copy Filter often is the culprit in problems like this one.

It's not the copy filter. If I copy a span of measures before and after the affected measure all chord symbols come along, even the one under the second ending bracket - just first ending bracket stays blank.

After some more experiments:

1) I can copy from a source measure NOT under the 1st ending and it works

2) If I delete the repeat bar sign at the end of the measure it WILL also work

I seem to remember having this problem before and mentioned it in the forum. But got only work arounds.

So, it looks as if the repeat sign is the culprit.

Does the problem happen in all documents? - or is it document specific?

I have not been able to reproduce it.

It happens in all documents. Tried in the Finale default doc. 

In a multi-staff document add 1st and 2nd ending. Set them to use a staff list that only shows endings on top staff.

Enter chord symbols on any staff. Try copy/paste chord symbols to one of the staves without chords. All chords will transfer but not the one under the 1st ending.

Playing around with that I noticed that deleting the repeat sign in the affected measure will allow the chord to copy. Playing around with the staff list (set it to NONE) will allow. It

I'm unable to confirm your behavior. For me with Finale 25, I opened a multi stave file from the template folder, followed your steps and had no trouble copying chords to any staff including the top staff with the repeat endings.

It would be very helpful if MM had a forum which allows file uploads.

Since we can not duplicate the behaviour, I suspect that the culprit is somehow specific to your computer system.

You may have to contact the folks in Tech Support, and send them a document with the problem.

Thanks for the response. It happens on all of my Finale installs (V26 & 2014) on three computers running OSX Sierra and Yosemite.

And I know how to work around it.
