WIndows 10, Finale 26
I imported a midi file into Finale which only has 3 pages of notation, however an additional 4 pages of empty staves appeared that I cannot discover how to delete.
From your description it sounds like you need to delete a lot of empty measures at the end of the document.
As the measures are deleted, Finale will automatically remove the (now) empty pages (you may have to Update Layout before the empty pages disappear from the computer screen).
To delete measures:
Selection Tool.
Double-click a measure to select it.
To select more measures, Shift-click the last measure.
Hit the delete key. (Edit menu > Delete Measure Stack)
