Here is what I am attempting to do: I have a single staff with lots of pitches of notes within it. I want to be able to select the whole staff, then I want Finale to find all of my G2 pitches and change them to D2 - without changing/transposing any of the other notes on the staff. Is this possible? It would seems to be as easy as it sounds, but I cannot figure it out. I am using Finale v25. Please advise and I thank you in advance for your replies

The JW plugin "Change Pitches" partially does what you want. It'll change a G to a D, but it doesn't make any distinction between a G2, G3, etc...

Have you tried the Note Mover Tool?

It has a function called Search and Replace.

Thanks to those of you who have responded so far. I did add the JW plug in for Finale, but as it was stated in the posting, it was searching all of my "G" notes - not specific to the G2 notes that I needed to be changed. I will attempt to utilize the note mover tool (per the 2nd reply) with the search and replace function within the next couple of days. Stay tuned and I will let you know if that works for me.

The note mover tool only works for one measure, my song has over 300 measures in it. But I was able to adjust my sequencer to do this exact thing, so I can just re-hyperscribe those notes in that staff. Thank you anyways for the suggestions

… The note mover tool only works for one measure …

Actually the {Search and Replace} function can work for all the measures in the entire document - if you, in the Search menu, choose “Replace All”.
