Hello

 

Currently using Finale 2014.5 on a MacOS Mojave. When I select a line from a violin line and insert it into the piano line, some of the symbols or articulations are highlighted yellow on the violin line of the piano score. So I have to go back and just redo all the articulations highlighted in yellow back to black. Why is this and is there a way around it?

I am not sure why it happens, but try a context-click on the yellow articulation.

In the context menu, choose “Relink to Score”.

You might first check to see if the colors make any difference to your print out. You may find that changing them (whether they are unlinked symbols or out-of-range notes) makes any difference to printouts or playback and, if not, whether it's worth your time to change them all to black.
