I am trying to upgrade from Finale 2014.5 to the current version.  I am able to add the software to my cart but I get the following message when I try to check out:

Therefore, please review our Privacy Practices and Frequently Asked Questions About Children’s Privacy carefully before completing this transaction.
 
No matter what I do, I can't get past this screen.
 
Furthermore, when I call the Makemusic sales number, I get a pre-recorded message that Finale support is exclusively available on the website and there does not appear to be a way to connect to a human.  
 
Does anybody know if Makemusic is still in business since all attempts to purchase anything or contact them have failed.

Use the Submit a Request linkat the top of this page.

The "Submit a Request" feature doesn't work because MakeMusic no longer supports Finale 2014.5.

Have you checked out a reseller like Sweetwater.com?

That shouldn’t matter. This is a sales problem, not a support issue. They do occasionally monitor this forum, so someone might see this thread.

 

But if push comes to shove, I’ll be happy to send them a ticket on your behalf. (I’ll be out all day, so it would have to be this evening before I can do it.)

Alan,

 

You can still submit a ticket with us regardless of your version, even if you do not own a Finale version at all, you can still submit a case. It sounds like you are hitting some type of strange roadblock here so I will start a ticket for you. You will get an email notification of this.

I think Alan is concerned that the Submit form asks for a serial number.

The serial number is not a problem.  The problem is that I can't open a submit form.  I was, however,  able to purchase the upgrade through a reseller so my immediate problem is resolved.  The original problem is that when I tried to check out on the MakeMusic website, I got the notice to parents screen (see original post) and was unable to move past that screen to complete the transaction.
