Windows 10 and Finale 2012

I am having enormous problems with the playback of hairpins, crescendos and rits. Sometimes they work, sometimes they don't. Sometimes the effect is enormous, sometimes very small and I can't work out how to control them. I have tried the Apply Human Playback plugin but this also causes problems: it seems that the effects are not able to be deleted once they have been applied: for example, even after deleting a fp that sounded too radical the effect stayed in the playback. I have read numerous forum posts about these HP problems and solutions but have yet to solve the problems consistently. The fact that HP doesn't work with the keyboard "playback" shortcut, and that this information is nowhere to be found is a big shame!

I've given up on HP. Try upgrading to the latest Finale and/or use another program like Cubase for the playback (export MIDI from Finale and import it into Cubase). You'll have precise control over tempo and dynamics but it is another step which is time consuming, and depends on your budget.

Many thanks Glen. Your comment was much appreciated. It's such a shame that with all the good high-tech authentic sounds it is so hard to make the program play them back with rubato and realistically graded dynamics. The tempo tap function would be a huge improvement ....
