Margin-clicking in the main Time Signature box suddenly doesn't scroll anymore

Hi all,

In the Time Signature tool, when I double click a bar to pull up the box for changing the TS, clicking in the margin of the scroll bar doesn't change the number anymore. A couple of years ago the OSX update removed the arrow keys - annoying, but at least clicking in the scroll bar margin was a good alternative. Suddenly a few weeks ago, that stopped working. Important to note that throughout Finale, scroll bar margin clicking works as intended for me bumping the scroll bar to the next position, whether it's in the score view, the key signature changer box, etc etc. It's only the Time Signature box that clicking there has stopped working.

This has led me to have to manually drag the scroller around, and with the sensitivity involved, this is an insanely tedious time wasting process.

What changed? How can I fix this?

OSX 10.12.6, Finale 2014.5

This is a known conflict between your Mac OS X version and your Finale version.

Ideas:

1) Downgrade your Mac OS X version, or Upgrade your Finale version.

2) Use the Time Signature Tool context menu.

2) Program metatools for the time signatures you use often.

1. I can't do either of these right now, unfortunately.

2. Not sure what this is - is it what happens when you select the TS tool and right click in a bar?

3. So right now I'm editing a score that goes between new signatures constantly, with staffs having independent time signatures, and lots of custom one-use ones like 7/16 composited as a quarter + dotted 8th. Otherwise most of my life I'm in 4/4 and thus haven't noticed this issue until now.

So I guess I just gotta get around to upgrading to the newest Finale version eh? Would I be ok in OSX 10.12 with it you think or are there new issues to deal with?

Yes.

By The Way: that very Time Signature context menu is also available as a sub-menu in the Selection Tool context menu.

You will be OK, - and you will like the bug fixes.

Many users like the new Articulation Tool in v26.
