Windows 7/Finale 2012c

In extracting parts, though I choose "Generate names from" check box and designate ("SONG- %p.mus") format, Finale always asks filename for each part.  How can I name all the parts automatically?

Actually, last year, the SAME Finale 2012c file successfully name all the 30 parts of score automatically but not this year.  I am lost.  Any hints or suggestions will be highly appreciated.

Sincerely,

Jun Yamamoto

It should work with the settings you have in the screen shot. You might be better off contacting MM directly and have them examine your file.

The I found that makemusic ceased support of 2014.5 or earlier.  I think a change of platform seriously.

Although the current version, 26, installs on Mac or Windows 64 bit OS (and is supported), 2012 will neither install nor work on the current Mac OS and has issues over OS 10.12.x Sierra.

Thank you for reminding me.

Sorry, my comment was misleading.  Nowadays, my friends are moving from Finale to Sibelius.

So that I will compare either updating Finale or changing to Sibelius, after the current project is done.

Sincerely,

Would loading the Finale 26 30-day demo help you extract (edit linked) parts as well as evaluate the latest version of Finale?

Thank you for your advice.

It should be a good idea. I will try it as anyway I need to evaluate F26.
