Win 10, Fin 2012

Just trying to create one-measure ossias, but from the literature, it appears that this is … challenging.

I wasn't able to implement Mike Rosen's suggestion by sourcing it from an empty measure, then hiding the original notes.  (If I hide them, the ossia gets hidden, too.)

Without going through all the "add another page, put the source for the ossia on it, but don't print it," I'm going to ask if there are any other ways.

I've answered my own question, with the help of the Ossia page in the Encyclopedia.  I don't always use the Encyc., because, even in this case, there is not "Options" section where it says there should be.  But, there was some other choice which worked, so thanks Finale--problem solved!

Good to see. For the benefit of others who might find this in a search, what exactly did you do to crack this nut?

Couldn't tell you, Mike; I just followed the directions on the page and looked for whatever was the closest on my version of Finale.  I honestly can't remember.
