Might anyone of you know why an extracted part won’t let me enter new expressions? The master score will, but the parts are being very stubborn for some reason. Any ideas would be appreciated. The UNDO seems to indicate the process was complete but the new expressions aren't showing. All the expressions already in the extracted part are there and showing fine, but no new data can be added. F26. Thanks.
If the problem is isolated to only one extracted part, then take a look at the definition for the expressions and/or expression categories.
Perhaps they are defined to, not show in that particular staff?
Do they show in the linked part?
Do they show in the score, on that very staff?
Are the expressions you're trying to assign from one of the categories which uses staff lists?
If the expression is hidden, does it's handle appear? You can control-click on the handle, and a menu will appear, look at "edit expression assignment". It will tell you where that expression will appear. (score, parts, both)
You can also try creating that expression in a different category to see if you get different results.
