I just saw this. For those not using it, $78 seems to be a pretty good price.

NotePerformer on sale for 40% off through April

https://www.scoringnotes.com/news/noteperformer-on-sale/

Note that only Sibelius is fully supported. Though there are a large number of Finale and Dorico users, officially, NotePerformer is still in beta for those platforms.

I just might jump on this.

Mike,

Your link to the sale price didn't work for me. Here's the link that I used:

https://shop.avid.com/ccrz__ProductDetails?viewState=DetailView&cartID=&sku=NotePerformer+for+Sibelius

This link takes you to the Avid store, where it describes the product as Note Performer for Sibelius. In fact, there's only one version of Note Performer and it works for SIbelius, Finale & Dorico. I just bought this version from Avid a few days ago and it works perfectly with Finale 26. The only hiccup is playback isn't synced with the scrolling display, it's 1" behind.

IMO, it's heads and tails above the Garritan sounds and playback.

My first link is to the Scoring Notes article and, you're right, it didn't work. All fixed now. Thanks for the direct link.

Yes, the article mentions (and I referred to) that only Sibelius is fully supported.

As to the lag in Finale, that is well known and discussed in the Knowledge Base article linked in my second post. In any case, the Finale user should go in eyes wide open.

On the Dorico forum, they talk about the purchased version of Note Performer being a separate download from the demo (hmmmmm... where have we seen that before?). The reason it's brought up is that the demo crashes when used with Dorico but the purchased version does not. I'm one of those who will not run a demo when the app is only $78, especially after reading that the demo can be problematic.

Still not positive I will buy neither am I certain that, if I buy, I would ever use it for anything more than a sketch pad, similar to the way I use Notion 6 for MusicXML input and nothing else. I did think that $129 wasn't a bad price so $51 off is better.

YMMV
