Does restarting the computer help?

No. I have to stop the print spooler each time I restart to have it work.

Do You have any creative soundcard (on board)? This card driver will always produce that issue

Friends - I have been getting this for MANY MONTHS each time I open Score Manager and the VSTs try to load.  It is frustrating, annoying I WISH a technician could guide US :)  PLEASE!

More information needed:

  1. What version of Finale are you using?
  2. What Operating System (and which version) is your computer using?
  3. Which VST's are you trying to load?
  4. Are any other programs running when you are running Finale?

If you have been waiting "many months" for Finale Tech to respond but haven't said anything either here or via the "Submit a request" link above, I think you are indulging in wishful thinking.

Adrian:

Thank you for responding.

  • Finale 26
  • PC 64-bit, Intel i5-4570 (3.24 GHz), 16.0 GB RAM
  • Windows 10 Home (Insider Program/Fast ring)
  • Varied VSTs (Aria/Garritan, East-West Symphonic Orchestra (not Cloud-based), Kontakt (various VSTs)
  • As far as running when I am running Finale, the one program that stands out is Bitdefender Total Security, which runs in the background at all times.  Firefox, Outlook are shut down when I work on Finale.
  • Also, I use a PreSonus/AudioBox USB 96 Audio and Midi interface.

This is an old issue that I have discussed in posts and with Finale technicians in private communications going back some time.

Regards,

Enrique

After 4 days of searching ways to correct this error, I finally found the SOLUTION:

Go to services and stop the "PRINT SPOOLER" service.
