I changed from old computer to new.  Installed finale 2007 a month ago. A popup came now saying I haven't authorized, etc.  De-authorized previous installations, registered and authorized online and received the email codes.  When I start finale now, I get the first screen and it freezes (I have to reboot computer).  I have tried deauthorizing and reinstalling. Re-installing goes fine till it reaches the authorizing part of the installation and I get same popup, won't authorize, etc.  Frozen screen.  Anybody got any ideas? Please don,t suggest upgrading - 2007 installed and worked fine (for my needs) for the first month on this computer until the authorization issue came up.

Finale 25 and 26 incorporated fixes for this known Windows 10 issue. Blame Microsoft for a nearly 13 year old application giving you grief in the latest operating system. The Mac version wouldn't have installed for many years.

If not wanting to hear about upgrading means that this problem won't be solved... I'll err on the side of telling you what you need to know. But, your timing is good on that note (pun intended).

MakeMusic is offering Finale on sale for a limited time, through May 20, 2019. New users of Finale can purchase it for $249, a significant savings off of the $600 regular price. However, if you already own a competing product, I recommend that you contact MakeMusic to obtain a quote for a competitive upgrade, which could be less expensive. MakeMusic has removed this option from their store, but the latest information is that it is still being offered by request.

For existing users on Finale v25 or earlier, the sale price for an upgrade to v26 is $99 (regular $149). Both sales items require the code FINALE261 at checkout.

BTW, Finale 26 requires that Windows be running in 64 bit, not 32.
