The 4-4 Rock Drum Groove comes up with the error "time signature for the MIDI file doesn't match"

Doesn't matter if I use common time, 12-8, 12-8 displaying as 4-4. Does anyone know how to resolve this? I assume its a composite, but I can't figure out how to input the time signature it needs to get this file to import/play.

Are you importing this from a scan? Is there a pickup measure involved?

I'm finding the same thing with 12-8 as 4/4 on a brand new file from scratch, but other styles generate fine.

I was having the same problem so I got an MIDI file where the drum beat sounded like what I was looking for and added it to the list in Drum Groove, but I get the same message when I try to use it.

Finale SongWriter 2012 on Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bits
