Mac 10.12.6 Finale V25 - The endings don't appear on parts that are not the top of a group. I figured out that by clicking on the little square by each part name when in the staff tool, I can change that. But surely one shouldn't have to do that every time? Isn't there a setting somewhere which would make the endings appear in all the parts automatically, all the time?

You mean “by double-clicking”, right?

And then you get to the Staff Attributes, right?

You can also get there by double-clicking inside the staff.

There are two settings to examine:

1) Staff Tool.

Staff Attributes, in the pane {Items to Display} - as you have found out.

To fix the staves faster, use the plug-in Global Staff Attributes.

2) Repeat Tool.

Context-click a handle on the Repeat Ending,

In the context menu, choose “Edit” or something like that.

Examine the pane Show On.

You may have to examine / edit a Staff List - or create a new Staff List.

By The Way:

How was the Finale document created ?

You can create a template where the settings show repeat endings in all parts.

If you create new documents from this template, “endings appear in all the parts automatically, all the time”.
