I'm trying to write multiple 1-2 line exercises with different keys and time signatures on a single page, as you find in beginner lesson books. This may be a stupid question, but I see no way to break the measures of any of the document types into multiple short pieces. I can insert final barlines, but I don't know how to create new "beginning" measures on the following lines. For example, if Line 1 is an exercise in C and Line 2 a different exercise in G, the program automatically inserts the F sharp for the G key change at the end of Line 1 as though Line 2 were the same piece. Any advice?

With the measure attributes tool, double click on the last measure in line 1. Put a checkmark next to "Hide Cautionary Clefs, Key signatures and Time Signatures".

And for the first measure in line 2, double click that measure and in the lower left you'll see "Time Signatures" from the dropdown menu next to it, choose always show.

Another tip about the Measure Attributes:

There is an option for

Begin a New Staff System

Very handy for the first measure of the next piece.
