Win 10, Fin 2012, laptop

Okay, years ago, I made a triangle to go with the "major 7" chord symbol, but the Shape Designer seems to have changed.  (This is to use it as a Chord Suffix; not and Expression.)

I followed all its directions, had the little triangle showing up on the Shape Selection box, in the Expression Designer, but, when I went to place it, it disappeared.

It's still in the Shape Designer box, but won't apply to the score.

In the picture below, you can see that it's #128.

Is it a font issue?  I changed it to Broadway Copyist Text; no luck.  Back to Times New Roman; no luck.

When I apply it, the handle appears on the score, but the symbol doesn't.  I've tried every kind of edit, allowed horizontal stretching, etc.

Any ideas?

Why not use a font character instead of your triangle shape?

There is a triangle in each of the music fonts, at character slot #177.

You can not use a shape in the Chord Tool’s suffixes, anyway.

Thanks, Peter.  I was able to find it, and, after some tweaking, I'm sure it will work just fine.

BTW, it was #108, not 128 on my Maestro list.  Should that be a concern since I had some corrupted font files earlier?  I read in another post that it was 128, and I think I saw that it was 128 earlier on mine.  Just why it changed to 108, who knows?

It would be nice to have a preview available when adjusting it.  Maybe it is in a newer version (2012, here), and it means backing out of several layers of selections, to see how the edits look.

I am not sure what you mean by your words ‘Maestro list’ ?

In your screen shot of the Shape Selection, the triangle shape is #128.

Is that what you mean (Maestro list = Shape Selection)?

Jon,

Slot 128 in your screen shot is the shape you made, that won't work. Like Peter said, you need to select slot 177 ( open triangle) from the Maestro font and use that in your chord suffix.
