Are you coming out with a new version of Finale in October or just upgrading the current one?  Need to upgrade, but I don’t see a reason to do it now if a new version comes out next month.

Jeff, this is a user forum; we would have no idea of MakeMusic's future plans unless one of them drops in on this forum and decides to share; but MM tends to keep future plans very close to their vests.

I, too, am just a user. Since 26 came out last year (Oct 18, 2018), i give no chance at all for 27 being released this year. The days of annual upgrades ended with the release of Finale 2012 in late 2011.

 

2014 was released November 2013. 2014.5 was a free upgrade to 2014 and released November 17, 2015. Finale 25 became available August 16, 2016.
