When I mark music with Rit. or with a fermata, nothing happens.  It will indicate the markings all right, but it won't playback.

Finale 2014.5 on Windows 10 64-bit

Are you using HP? How are you starting and stopping playback?

No, I am not using HP.  I often just play an arrangement within the Finale program 14.5.  But I also save it and play it as an mp3.  Everything seems to work except for the Ritard command and the and the fermata designation.  I suspect that there is some setting that would turn those features on, but I cannot locate what or where that would be.  Thanks for trying to help.  Weldon Kennedy

That may well be the problem. On a test I just ran, the fermata and rit. were ignored, if HP was set to None. Setting it to Standard fixed it.
