Adding an 8vb and then restoring the pitch on the next note

I am running FINALE 26.2.

But I am interested in simply adding an 8vb to a note. [Which I think I did successfully using the EXPRESSION TOOL]. But I can't get the succeeding note and measure to LOCO [come back to the original pitch]. I edited and hid LOCO on the EXPRESSION TOOL [earlier] but now even that won't come back.

Thanks for any help you can give.

How did you enter the 8v sign? With the smart shape tool?

I understand that the 8vb is an expression. Under the playback thumbnail, you'll see that Type -> Transposition is set to -12.

Edit the loco expression with a transposition of 12 (to cancel the previous one) and position it where needed.
