My newly downloaded 1959 Aria Player will not play Garritan sounds (GPO, PO5, JABB, WO) through my headphones, but only the computer speakers. I'm on a brand new MacBook Air running Mojave and the headphones work just fine with everything else.I can listen to mp3s, wavs, Youtube, CDs, etc. through the headphones with no problem. AP even plays Quicktime sounds through the headphones, but not Garritan sounds. I've check my Mac Sound prefs and they're fine, toggling between speakers and headphones when the headphones are plugged in.I don’t see any setting in AP to turn on/off headphones. Under AP Preferences> Audio Devices it only lists MacBook Air Speakers, not headphones. I always thought headphones work automatically when plugged in! I never had this problem before in all the many years I’ve used AP and Garritan. I do a lot of work with other people around in public. Must have headphones! Anyone ever have this problem or know the solution? Thanks, Wayne

Rick, the answer is you must plug in your headphones BEFORE you start the Aria player. Then it list headphones under preferences and play through headphones, If you unplug the headphones while you are working, you have to go back and start again. Good luck, Wayne

I found a similar problem with Bluetooth Headphones. I fixed by (after a couple of hours of exploration) going to the MDI/Audio tab thence to Device Setup then Audio Setup which has a "output source" box. I set this box to the Bluetooth Headphones (actually for some reason I get two of these with different names). Finally (Finale?) the headphones work.

If I unplug the headphones I get some type of "Audio something,,, failed"; if I just wait I get "Finale switched to next output" and the computer speakers work.

Perhaps this will help.
