PC, Fin version 26.2.2

How do I change the playback voicing of Chord Symbols? 

For example, the rhythm dotted quarter + 8th tied to half note, with the chords Em and F#7/E - the playback sounds like the bass is moving up a 4th!  

It would be great if there were an option to click a box that would move the playback to the notes closest to the previous chord instead of jumping all over the place.

Well, you touched a weakness of Finale, the playback of chords doesn't follow any voice leading rules and usually sounds in the treble range.  For those reasons, many users don't use it (Chord menu -> uncheck Enable Playback).

You can always input specific voicings in a hidden layer.
