I have 2014 Finale. . I used to be able to left click and the space bar to start anywhere in the piece, but now, in order for me to replay my work I can only do it starting from the first measure. Can some one please send me instructions on how I can make the music play starting where I want.

I have Finale 26.3.1.520.  Previous versions allowed me to select the playback start measure.  Even though the box for doing that selection is present, it is dimmed and I am unable to utilize it to select a playback start measure, meaning I also have to playback from measure one every time I wish to analyze my arrangement.  This is unacceptable as it uses too much of my time to wait for the playback to get to my latest written measures.  Why was this ability taken away?

Are you stopping playback with the space bar, or the playback controls?

 

Have you tried Playback from Leftmost Measure?

I click on the play button (triangle) and stop using the stop (square) button.  The measure numbers and repeat boxes are grey and unclickable which means I can't set a start bar for playback.

How did you set up your Playback Options? It works for me (even though I normally use Leftmost Measure).
