I created a blank grand staff. I did this so I could create a custom percussion grand staff. Once I created the blank grand staff, I changed the instruments through utilities to percussion 1 and 2 (top and bottom). When I go to hide blank staves, nothing happens. I've changed everything to "hide normally" yet nothing is working. Any ideas?
You tell that you have a Grand Staff.
This means that the two staves are connected by a staff group.
Go to the Group Attributes for that staff group, and examine the pop up menu
When Hiding Empty Staves
That pop up menu has three items:
Hide Normally
Only Hide If All Staves Empty
Never Hide
