Windows 10, Finale 26.x current

It just seems to me, back in a memory long ago and... fading... that there was a way to turn off or hide a handle.

In the case, I mean the little square boxes that appear when certain menus are selected, such as Articulations or Expressions.

In Preferences, I see where one can change the size of the handles (Edit/Preferences/View...).

I seem to remember is was similar to "Show" in that one could control-click a handle and tell it to either fade or disappear -- likely the former.

This is very useful when multiple handles appear in proximity, creating a cluster that is challenging to select via mouse. Similarly, when one is working with slur or phrasing lines on notes that are tightly aligned to each other.

Does this still exist?

Thank you,
:-)

She knows that ... ( I see where one can change the size of the handles (Edit/Preferences/View...) The answer to the actual question, though, is even though you can change the Hidden Object Shading to a lower percentage for a less prominent appearance, it will apply only to the actual hidden objects, not to the handles. You can NOT hide the handles (as far as I know, and it seems like a bad idea anyway - it would make it very difficult to edit anything). Apart from that, I prefer transparent handles UN-checked, it's a cleaner box, and if it gets crowded, just zoom up to somethng big and you can easily select the handle (which stays the same size). My 2 cents, anyway.

Also, you can grab the articulation or expression by itself. You don't NEED to grab the handle.

Thanks, guys.

I guess my recollection is a bit hazy.

The best idea, I think, is to zoom in on the item with the handle to better control them.
This, I think, seems especially true with slurs over 16ths, and other cramped note spacing.
