WIndows 10 Pro, Finale 26.x current

My, my, what fun it is to set up a new computer and finding all of the things that don't work, don't work the same, or introduce new phenomena. ;-)

Tonight, I created a new document using the "Template" option for another string quartet. Typically, I just create my scores manually, but I thought I would try it--and it looks very nice.

Oddly, though, very near the bottom of the page, just about where the © symbol lay, is a bluish-greenish horizontal line.

I tried another template--for brass--and found the same thing.

Does this have something to do with the templates?

How does one eliminate it?

What is it!  :-)

Thank you,
:-)

Vanessa,

Can you delete it? Can you post a screenshot?

Sounds like it is a "Guide." You should be able to delete it by bringing up the Ruler and double-clicking on the arrow located on the Ruler. You can also right-/context-click the arrow and select delete.

However, in Finale 26 there is bug that doesn't record the Guide being deleted, so when you make certain edits, the Guide is recreated even though it's been gone for some time. To remedy this, you have to delete the Guide, save, and close the file, thereby clearing the Edit History.

I am personally not seeing that in any of the default Templates you've mentioned (Brass, String Quartet). It may be a screen draw issue? How exactly are you setting up the Templates? Can you explain each step in detail. It could also be an issue with the Document Style you've selected.
