Finale 26.3
Windows 10

Hi All,

How can I send two different instruments to the two different channels? In score manager, I put PAN 127 to one instrument, and PAN 0 to the other. However, I can still hear both instruments on the two different channels.

Is there a way to completely separate them?  Any help will be appreciated.

Thank you,
Giancarlo

Do your pan settings have any effect at all?
If you get one of the instruments loud on one side and less loud on the other, check your reverb settings to be sure that is not affecting your results.

There will be overlap. Pan is just location, not volume. Think of a violin stage right, and a trumpet stage left. You wIll hear them both.

When I do part-predominant choral learning tracks, I pan a selected part full right, and set the volume full up, while setting the other parts panned full left, with the volume down to about 55.
