Hi, Finale Community,

I have a score which I had configured the page numbers to be the center bottom; owed to the traditions of an Orchestral Librarian who instructed me in the past to create scores this way. However, I am now also associated with another Orchestral Librarian who wants the page numbers to be where they were at default: odd page numbers on the top right corner, and even pages on the top left.

I tried to command one odd page number to go to the top right, in hopes that all odd page numbers will follow. Instead, all pages, including evens, also follow to the top right!

Instead of deleting the Setup-Wizard-Document-provided page numbers and re-creating all odd and even page numbers manually to each be in their individual corners (which is more unnecessary, tedious work to add to my already-busy compositional schedule!), is there a way to take the altered page numbers that I currently have and re-command odds and evens into their respective top corners again?

Great thanks, as always!

Indeed there is a way to take the altered page numbers that you currently have, and “re-command odds and evens into their respective top corners”.

I suppose that the {Setup-Wizard-Document-provided page numbers} are created as a text block (using the Text Tool) - right?

Text Tool.

Handles appear on all text blocks.

Select the handle on the Page Number text block.

Text menu > Frame Attributes…

At the bottom of the Frame Attributes dialog box you can specify settings for Right Pages.

This is all great information for me to have. I only wish I knew about these things those many years (more than a decade!) that I used Finale while the program was still being actively updated.

Anyways, great thanks for your help once more! =)

Cheers,
