Making the slow transition from Finale to Dorico. No problems with Aria there. But, have pretty well learned MuseScore as part of the transition. All my other VSTs work fine there, but Aria crashes MuseScore and itself as soon as I close Aria. I’ve gotten it to work, once, leaving Aria open, but that covers everything, doesn’t work every time, and Aria doesn’t have a yellow button to hide itself. I’m on a Mac Sonoma 14.6.1 so I can still keep using Finale. I re-installed the newest Aria just to be sure. It showed it included VST3 which is what MuseScore requires. Didn’t help. My workaround is to complete my score in MuseScore then export midi files and complete playback with good Garritan sounds in Logic Pro. Thankfully, no problems there. Am I the only person having this problem? Is there a fix?

I can reproduce this. It does seem to be unique to ARIA within MuseScore (no other VSTs I've tried are affected). There are other problems such as the Reverb controls being inoperative. The problem doesn't occur on Dorico or other app.

It doesn't seem to generate a crash log or other diagnostic report. I'd suggest contacting MuseScore for support.

Until then, I'd suggest using Plogue's Sforzando player, which uses the ARIA engine and supports the Garritan libraries. (Assuming that ARIA won't be updated, it's the long-term fix for all ARIA issues.)
