You aren't going to like this solution, but..This is a Hebrew font called Shalom Old Style. It's designed to be entered left-to-right, that is, backwards. I often use it for titles, so it's not a big deal. You could use it for text, but you would have to enter everything in reverse. The example above was entered as Mlvi Nvda, and then changed to Shalom OS.

EDIT: another option: Enter your text in Word. Take a screenshot, and paste it into Finale as a graphic.

Thanks Mike.  I have no problem typing in Hebrew for things like the title, subtitle, or even the "expression tool" (I do it all the time). The issue is typing in text that are complete sentences.  Indeed I could take a screen shot, but then I have to try to guess the sizing, width of the page, etc.  Hopefully the folks at Finale (i.e. tech support) will have a solution, or at the very least, incorporate this option in an update.  For example the newest version of Finale finally allows the PDF export of Hebrew titles.  Before I had to use Microsoft's PDF to print to get the title right.  Otherwise it would reverse all the letters .  So if there's a will, there's a way.

They won’t, I can almost guarantee. Don't do it with the text tool. Decide on the font size in Windows, and type it out there the way you want it to appear on the page in Finale. 10 or 12 point text in one will be the same in the other. You should be able to guesstimate when you want a new line. Then, do the graphics thing.

That's why I like the Shalom Old Style. Since I enter it left to right, it stays that way. But I’m only doing titles or short phrases. I would be in a bad way if I used a RTL setup! Especially on a Hebrew keyboard. SOS is set up phonetically (mostly) and I’ve been using it for 25 years, so I know where to go. I still have to look at the cheat sheet if I want niqqud.
