After downloading Finale 27 (but not letting the upgrade delete 26), my iPad/Metagrid/Keyboard Maestro macros stopped working. Metagrid console now says "Keyboard Maestro not detected. Macros won't be sent"

I've unchecked/checked the box in System Preferences>Privacy>Automation that Metaserver can control KM.

I've unchecked/checked the box in System Preferences>Privacy>Accessibility that Metaserver can control the computer.

Does the installation of 27 change any system settings that would break my setup?

[I'm running Mac OSX 10.14.6 on Mac Mini connected by USB to iPad running 14.6 with Metaserver 2.3.0.]

If you chose to keep Finale 26, the installer renamed it to "Finale 26" to avoid confusion with Finale 27 which took the name "Finale".

Adjust the other apps to take that into account.

Shut down your Mac then Boot. Finale is not the only app where this has fixed things after an install. In any case, try it first.

Greg - I stumbled onto that solution just before you posted. You are correct. Keyboard Maestro macros are assigned to a specific app. The Finale 27 installer does indeed rename 26 to "Finale 26" which means you must change the app assignment in KM. And now, Bob is my uncle:)

Hey, Luke,

Thanks for posting that. Not for the regulars who may or may not remember this but these posts show up in search engines when other users have the same issue. It will help others.

I'm glad there is a thread about this because I was lost. I still am sort of because I have the same issue. I can get KM to talk to Finale but I can't get Metagrid to tell KM to make Finale do anything. This is after upgrading to Finale 27.
