I changed the title on a score and want to do it for the parts also. If I click "edit part" and choose piccolo, the first page says "score", and the  name "Piccolo" comes up on the second page, as it should. I edited the first page to say "piccolo". When repeating the process for the first flute, the first page said "piccolo" and page 2 said first flute. When editing page one to say "flute 1" it changed the piccolo to the same, and changed all the instruments and the score to "flute 1"!!!!!!  Any way to fix this?

I'm using the new v27 on a windows, 10 computer

In that very text block you should NOT enter neither “score” nor “Piccolo” nor “Flute 1”.

Instead you should enter one particular Text Insert:

Text menu > Inserts > Part/Score Name

That should do it.

Next, go to

Window menu > ScoreManager > File Info

At the bottom of the chiclet File Info you can see the “Score Name” Insert Text field.

You can change the “Score Name” Insert Text to whatever you need (Score, Partitura, Conducteur, or …)

Or, in the Staff tool you can edit the part name. Staff tool, right click on the part name , click on Edit Full Staff Name.

You can do the same for the part names on the remaining pages too. Right click on one of them and click on Edit Abbreviated Staff Name.

You just can't do it when you are in the linked part.
