I have Windows 10 running Finale 26+ on my PC. I have not used my computer in a little under a year, On powering up a couple of days ago and enjoying listening to a small selection of my efforts, I tried to display more than one file at a time, with a view to  edit one or other. The second file came to the front of display as was to be expected and hid the first file. This all appeared normal, but then left me unable to show the first file without first removing the second, and if I reduced the files in display to enable showing both, they both reduced in size together. This is not what I remember doing in the past!

The only way I could resume with the first file is to delete the second. What on earth am I doing wrong?

At 86 I'm sure I haven't lost all my marbles yet, but I'm beginning to wonder. Can anyone help please!!!

I am not sure if I understand your problem exactly, but if you want to just switch between open files in Finale, you can either go to the Menu > Window and on the bottom you will see the files you have open (could be more than two if you like) - click on the one you want in the foreground. They will appear in the configuration (size, page or scroll view etc.) that you have chosen for each file/window. You can also circulate between the windows with Ctrl-Tab. If you want to see them both at the same time, use Menu> Windows>Tile Windows (Vertically or Horizontally)

And Robert, if you have not used your computer in nearly a year, I would strongly advise you to make sure your Windows System and virus software is updated.

Thanks so much Michael M, you had it exactly right, I'm so grateful. Everything working just fine now.

I've been with Finale for more years than I can remember, my faith is restored.
