I am using Native Instruments Session String Pro 2 (recently purchased) as Audio Unit in Finale26.2. During playback the sound doesn't stop never even if I press stop or other buttons. At the end of playback it remains a fixed tone (the last notes of playback..). The only command that it works seems "Reassign Playback Sounds". This happens every time.
No midi keyboard is connected (physically unplugged). I am using macOS Mojave on iMac 5k (late 2015), 16 GB RAM.
Any suggestions? Thanks in advance.

What player and version are you using? The latest version of Kontakt and Kontakt Player is 6.61.

That is the latest version of Kontakt Player.

I notice you are not running the latest version of Finale 26 which is 26.3. Download and install that from your MM User account and see if that doesn't fix your problem. I have a Mojave drive with 26 on it and Kontakt is not giving me a problem. Session Strings Pro 2 is a subset of other libraries I do have.

If that doesn't do it, get this in front of MM Support by using the Submit a request link at the top of the page.

Thanks!! It is not possible to update directly from "Check Update", I have downloaded from my MM account. How can I install this new version without losing my autorizations?

Your authorizations will not be affected if you just install. If you have not changed the name of your install (the default is Finale.app), the new version will simply overwrite. If you've changed the installed name to anything else, the new installation will be called Finale.app and your current install will keep its name.

I have upgraded Finale to 27 version, ...and the fixed sound disappears if we reach with playback (scrolling or not scrolling, it's the same..) the end of music, I mean, notes (or if there is a pause written between the measures) . If I tried to stop the playback before the end of music or in the middle of a phrase the sound and the player doesn't stop.

Not not quite clear. Do the notes a) not stop at all or do they b) keep playing longer than expected but stop later?

If (b) this is not unusual and there are possible explanations and remedies. If (a) I don’t know.

Thanks for your help...but it's difficult to say (a) or (b).

Let's give you an example: string arrangement for a string orchestra, 4 bar long, vlnI,II, vla, celli. If I press playback button (as leftmost measure) and I want to stop the playback before the end of 4th measure, for example on the 2nd bar, the music doesn't stop and the sound remains fixed on the music (notes) at that point. If I press again the playback, the playback starts again from that point without problems until the end of arrangement.

But if I wait for the end of arrangement, even if there are pauses o empty bars afterwards, I can stop properly the music without any sound..

I have the same problem with Finale v27 and the Session Strings on a new M4 Mac. Moreover, they completely ignore any dynamics I wrote in the score! The same happens with other NI instruments so, obviously, this seems to be a compatibiliy issue with Finale and the Kontakt Player… (I have installed the latest version)
I‘d appreciate some advice!
