Hi,

It seems to be a bug in the stem connections in Finale 27 using non SMuFL fonts.

If you change the horizontal position of the stem connections so that the stem is centred with the selected notehead, some normal notes are also centtred.

This seems to happen only with files using non SMuFL font.

Check the two images:

macOS Monterey 12.1

Finale 27.1.0277

1) I suppose that you are using the Maestro font in a (non SMuFL) Finale v27 document - right?

2) Take a good look at

Document menu > Document Options > Stems > Stem Connections

You may find something wrong.

3) What is especially baffling, is that, in the (non SMuFL) example, the first {normal notehead} note has correct stem connection (= not centered notehead). = It is not all the noteheads.

Yes, to test the bug, I used a non-SMuFL file with Maestro (non-SMuFL) for the first example and I used a SMuFL file with Finale Maestro (SMuFL).

I looked for into the discussion here and I found that:

So the problem is already known and should be fixed in a future upgrade.

And, test, it's strange that the first note is correctly aligned. This is definitely a bug!
