Is there any way of accessing all the articulations and all the symbols stored in the various Finale fonts in such a way that it would be possible to copy one and save it as an expression?  I want to use a quartertone sharp symbol in an expression.  I can find it in the articulations, under "Stein-Zimmermann accidentals", and it even has what looks like a unicode above it (U+E282: is this unicode?) but I cannot find any way of importing or copying that symbol.  It seems odd that the fonts seem rather inaccessilble: you cannot find them laid out in such a way that it would tell you how to *type* that symbol if need be, nor in such a way that you could simply copy and paste.

Any suggestions?  Thanks!

Ah, I seem to have found out how to do it.  In the Expression designer, select the font which you know contains the symbol you want, and then in the Text drop-down menu choose Select Symbol.

George,

The method you have discovered is the intended way of doing this with SMuFL-based fonts. In any location where you need to insert a musical character (Expression, Articulation for ex.), you just need to set the desired font and then select the character from the Symbol Selection dialog box.
