Changing times signatures in the middle of a composition

Hi, I am working on a piece and the section is in 7/8. I want to change one bar to 5/8 but every time I do this the following music is re-barred into 5/8 and all is displaced. How can I isolate this change so only one bar is affected and the 7/8 is retained in all the following bars? Many thanks for any suggestions.

Select the measure (or a range of measures) > right click > choose Time Signature from the drop-down menau > do NOT choose the time signature you want, but choose Edit Time Signature > select the measure or range in Measure Region > then change the number of beats and durations > OK

select the Time Signature Tool and double click on the measure, that way you'll also get that same Edit screen

What your steps when you change the time signature?

If you switch to the Time Signature Tool, and double-click a measure, you get to the dialog box Time Signature where you can specify a measure range, e. g. only one measure.

Hi Guys. Just wanted to say a big 'thank-you' for your help and support. I have now managed to insert my 5/8 bar! I was failing to choose the 'Edit Time Signature' part.

You also have a check box to Rebar (or not).
