I'm running Big Sur 11.6 on an iMac. While all of the settings are correct, the margins of the .pdf are not the same as those in the Finale score. Anyone having this issue?
Best,
Judith
Yes - but so frustrating. Can't update to Monterey because of other programs I need. Ridiculous that this was not solved for Big Sur. Had to get to a computer where I could print in Monterey, and wish there were better version control so those who have reasons not to update yet would not be penalized. Also, wish there were an easy point to find all of the version issues when Finale updated!
Anyhow, thanks very much for trying to help.
Hi Judith,
Sorry to hear you are having this problem. There was an issue in v27.1 were some users would see incorrect margins with PDFs in specific situations, but this has been resolved in v27.2. If you are seeing an issue similar to this in v27.2, then most likely we should be able to find what is causing the problem and a way around it. Definitely submit a case with us and we will take a closer look with you.
Although you are looking at Finale, a number of apps were broken in Big Sur only to work properly again over Monterey.
Apple’s own Books.app was one of those apps. Really? Apple broke Books? They made it sound like I was the only person in the world who noticed when I contacted Support on this issue and I wasn’t happy to be told that upgrading to Monterey was my only option if I wanted things to work. So I did. Books now functioned properly again, Finale margins now printed properly and a few other benefits. I’d been through this before when Mojave fixed a large number of things broken in High Sierra 10.13.4 In any case, Big Sur is done and Apple will not be fixing the remaining issues and there’s nothing we can do about it.
There were Monterey crashing issues cured by upgrading the Codemeter run time used by Antares—if running Autotune or AVOX, that must be updated first. iZotope’s Exponential Audio reverbs are broken and iZotope has announced they won’t be fixed. Pro Tools hasn’t updated yet but Apple’s new Studio should force that to happen soon which should cause the rest of the dominos to fall. Although there are still apps and plugs that have yet to announce OS 12 compatibility, I’m not finding any other problems on my Intel Mac. My M1 MBAir still has to run may apps over Rosetta 2 including Finale if I want NotePerformer to work.
