When I go to File-Export-PDF, the save as box immediately pops up as normal. However, it is defaulting to a folder that no longer exists. An error message pops up telling me that folder doesn't exist with the only option being clicking the "OK" button. When I click the button, the same box pops up again. I can't get out of that cycle and have to restart the program, only to have this happen again. It seems that Finale is choosing a default or a previous folder as the default pdf export, that no longer exists, which is creating this to happen.

How do I change the default folder setting for the pdf Export?

Can’t you change the destination in that file/save window?

No. The error message will not go away. When I click OK in the error message, it immediately pops up again. I can't click anything anywhere, other than the error message. I then have to control/alt/delete and close finale

It seems clear to me that it is defaulting to a save location folder that is no longer there and won't stop generating the error message about it. Hoping there was a setting somewhere I could go change the default export folder assigned

Look in Program Preferences > Folders > Music. I think that’s where you might need to make the change.

If no help there, you may need to refresh the preferences.

Or can you create the folder (path) it is looking for long enough to get you past the error message?

(I generally use a PDF Printer rather than Finale's Export feature since, at least in the past, the export PDF routine was not up to par.)
