Hello, running Finale v. 27.2.0.142 on Mac OS Monterey v. 12.5.

I can rearrange the icons on my main tool palette by shift-clicking on an icon and dragging to the desired location. Used to be the rearranged layout would be saved when I closed the program but no more. When I reopen the icons have reverted to the default layout. 

Any words of wisdom on how to get custom palette layouts to stick??

I’ve never been able to do it, either. And even when you shift the tiles, they don’t work properly.

 

Finale blames the Mac OS, and has no further help.

Hi I have done the same but saved the tool set using View ... Tool Set... Holding down shift/option gives you the option to program the tool set to however you have arranged it.  So when I open a document it seems to save the last tool set I used.

Kevin Eland Thank you so much!!!!! It worked! I've used staff sets, but not for a very long while, and if I knew tool sets were programmable I had forgotten.
