Finale V25    Windows 11      Finale will not print colors to either hp printer or to pdf.  Have tried both Microsoft print to pdf and Adobe.

This is a new computer (old one crashed)  I had to download Finale v25.  I was using the same Finale V25 and windows 11 on the crashed computer and it worked just fine.  I can print colors from different software pgms but not from Finale.  I do check the print display color box but the still the colors are not printed.

In the Print dialog box there is the option of printing Display Colors. But that is "display" colors only. Printing color, like the text box, is not possible as far as I know.

Of course you should be able to print display colors if that’s what you want to do. Teachers do all the time.

 

Windows does not have a native pdf printer — you have to use a 3rd party print app for pdf. The Microsoft print-to-pdf app was discontinued and withdrawn in a late build of Win 10. Microsoft has suggestions for replacing it on their web site—I’ve no idea if it can be made to work in Win11. Adobe has a number of products but you don’t say what you are using.

 

Most Finale/Windows users are using CutePDF and reporting good results.
